+ WHAT IS “SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD?”

Sustainable seafood comes from sources, whether fished or farmed, that can maintain or increase production into the long-term without jeopardizing the structure or function of affected ecosystems.

The following areas are monitored for sustainability: species overfishing, catch methods, well-managed fishery, pollution in the environment, and the feed used.

+ WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR SEAFOOD FROM?

We aim to support fishermen along the North + South Carolina coasts as much as possible, but we also work with fishermen along the coast of Maine, Florida and even Hawaii!

Long story short: Our focus is on the East Coast, but we also source from all over the country as long as the fishing is done sustainably.

+ HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET SEAFOOD SHIPMENTS?

We get seafood shipments twice a day, five days a week! This way, we're truly bringing you the freshest seafood possible.

+ CAN WE ORDER ONLINE?

Yes, you can! We partner with Kickback AVL to make our entire menu (lunch menu, fresh seafood menu, market menu...the works!) available for pickup OR delivery. You can place your order here if you'd like to order online.

+ DO YOU DELIVER LOCALLY?

Yes, you can get our offerings delivered! Our awesome partnerships with Kickback AVL and Takeout Central allow our seafood and market items to make it safely to your doorstep - to place an order for delivery, click here.

+ IF I DON'T LIVE LOCALLY, CAN YOU SHIP YOUR SEAFOOD TO ME?

Unfortunately not! In order to maintain the freshness we strive for, we are not currently shipping our seafood or market items. To place an order for local pick up or delivery:

• Call us (Pick up only)
• Order through Kickback AVL or Takeout Central (Delivery only)
• Find us at a farmers market

+ ARE YOU LOCALLY-OWNED?

We are! We got our start at farmers markets in 2014 and opened our Merrimon Avenue store on March 20, 2020. We are part of the Asheville Grown Business Alliance and we love supporting and being part of the Asheville + WNC communities. + ARE YOU OPEN FOR LUNCH OR DINNER, OR DO YOU JUST SELL SEAFOOD?

We are open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM - 2PM. We do not sell dinner, but our market is open from 10AM - 6PM Tuesday through Saturday!

+ WHAT ALL DO YOU SELL?

We sell a variety of fresh seafood that changes daily (we get 2 deliveries per day, so our selection is always changing! Check out our specials here).

If you're looking for something specific that we DON'T have, just call us! Our motto is: If it swims and it's in season, we can source it.

+ WHAT HAPPENS TO SEAFOOD YOU HAVE LEFTOVER AT THE END OF THE WEEK?

We donate it! We partner with Pandemic of Love to make sure that the fresh seafood we don't manage to sell by the end of the week goes to feed other hungry folks. Learn more about Pandemic of Love here.

You can find our permanent market at 640 Merrimon Avenue, Asheville, NC 28804.

You can also find us at farmers markets across town Tuesday - Saturday too: check here to see if we're at a farmers market near you!

+ WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?

Our Merrimon Avenue location is open Tuesday - Friday from 10AM - 6PM and on Saturdays from 10AM - 3PM (though lunch is only served from 11AM - 2PM each day).
